I already have a DualShock3, but I'll still give this one a try even with a few negative comments.
Might use it as extra control pads when friends come along.
I actually like that it's the same size as the XBox 360's ( which I also have ), think it suits more average size "adult" hands.
Plus the L2/R2 triggers are in the right ( concave ) position, deep analogue triggers are a plus for no slippage.
It's because the build-up to the release of the game is almost upon us 'mate.
So if you can endure another month of this barrage, just lay-off any GranTurismo issues.
And let a lot of us to enjoy more in-coming clips and screens.
The Top Gear test track would eventually be included on the game for us gamers' to use. ( think it's on the full version GranTurismo 5 though... ).
It's good we'll also be able to watch a few Top Gear snippets or maybe even the entire show ( for download? )
All looking really awesome for GranTurismo.
Only the HD-DVD add-on was I think their only bad judgement.
The rest were very minor problems/occurances.
Most importantly though, the games did deliver and a lot of them were on time and have a high rate of playability, immersion, enjoyment factor.
See NASCAR is rubbish even in CGI form, the most atrocious form of racing sport ever.
Don't know how they can dig this blatantly boring race test really.
Only because it's only now the PS3 is starting to pick-up with most of their games coming-out, also a few new paraphernalia to be release worldwide like DualShock3 and their new Driving Force wheel.
XBox 360 will be coming back once their new killer games are out like Halo Wars and Gears 2 plus a host of others.

Think I have to save-up now for one of those steering wheels ( either the benchmark G25, the new PS3 Driving Force GT or the more expensive Porsche 911 fanatec wheel... any comments on these guys?, which one? have'nt bought one since the days of first GranTurismo on PS1... )

Got my DualShock3 for US$45 = AU49 straight from Osaka shipping included here in Sydney...
Same eveything with normal sixaxis - except for very slight weight increase plus DualShock3 logo, am a bit dissapointed Sony did'nt do anything about the ergonomic design aspect of these control pad.
But very thankful they listened to a lot of fans in bringing back "rumble".
It's just that Japan is a totally different animal when it's gaming that's on question.
You really can't say why on-line gaming ain't their cup of tea.
From the land where most high-tech stuff that we all value come from, you'ed think on-line gaming will just turn into this huge thing in Japan - but "No" it does'nt.

Think it's not a gimmick, more looking like going to a virtual place ( it's nothing like a chat room at all ) to just hang-out, enjoy the sight/sites on offer if you'ved finished or are tired of playing games ...

Very convincing indeed... especially it being wireless and sturdy plus it looks good and realistic enough.
Hope they make a few other wheels that resemble other famous car brands - since it is made in Germany why not release a Merc, BMW or even an *Audi ( my fave ) and Volkswagen... just a thought.

Have the soundtrack to the game as well... suppose to be the Japanese version of Prologue, but my cousin in Osaka who's not into gaming sent me a cd version instead.

Have a lot of complaints with my DualShock3 PS3 pads:

By the way just recieved from a cousin in Osaka this GT5: Prologue cd soundtrack, actually ordered the game disc somehow my cousin ( who's totally not a gamer ) got confused.
